Lolo is a vibrant and contemporary restaurant located on Bermondsey Street, near London Bridge. With its warm, inviting atmosphere, Lolo offers a culinary experience that blends modern Spanish cuisine with a playful twist on classic dishes.
This design is inspired by José Pizarro’s remarkable journey from Extremadura to the heart of Bermondsey, reflecting his passion for food, community, and rich traditions.
The Mediterranean palette is subtly woven through the space with soft-coloured plaster walls and bar front, complemented by a terracotta-tiled floor that evokes the sun-soaked landscapes of Extremadura. The walls showcase pieces from José’s personal collection, featuring work from legendary artists like Norman Ackroyd, Tracey Emin, and Peter Blake, adding a playful touch that represents his personality.
This design is more than just aesthetics; the space is designed to reflect José’s passion for bringing people together through food and celebrating his heritage. It is a place where Mediterranean warmth and Bermondsey Street’s dynamic creative vibrant neighbourhood come together to create a unique and inviting atmosphere. It is a jour The design for this multi award-winning refurbishment for the original Alchemist in Spinningfields Manchester was based around the search for the elixir of life. This resulted in dramatic sculptural elements throughout the space that transform throughout the day.
We supplied all the Barstools, tables and table bases as well as all of the loose chairs.
Additional outside furniture was supplied by us at a later date to match the palette of the exterior of the restaurant.
